rssTD project revamped

October 20th, 2007 | by OsoMarron |

rssTD I just revived my old RSS Feed Scanner and Torrent Downloader (rssTD) project. Now with a different download component that works more reliably. :) I’m committing to use this one as my primary rss feed scanner and am phasing off my Azureus rss feed scanner filters.

‘_’ does this work with any external torrent client? (utorrent T_T)

it downloads the .torrent file to a specific location. It takes advantage of Azureus’ feature to monitor a folder for new .torrent files. If uTorrent has a similar feature, it can work there too.

    I think it does ‘_’

can I test this program of yours? :P

I’ll review the dependencies and get back to you ;)

I woke up and rssTD turned blue O_O

  • osomarron

lmao XD The tray icon? Yeah, that happens to me too after I access my computer through RDP. It seems the change in color depth messes up the icon. I might have to switch to one with less color depth.

lmao, I thought it was some advanced function like, after it snatches a torrent it lights blue XD

the blue icon is pretty nice looking actually ‘_’

  • osomarron

haha. turn blue after snatching? XD Might look into that :P
Or maybe make blue main and red when it snatches.

;_; rssTD doesn’t seem to be able to read hdbits rss feed (it uses a passkey)

  • osomarron

no wai… Never had to deal with passkey trackers before

EDIT : won’t an URL like this do?

    http://www.bitmetv.org/rss.php?feed=dl&cat=75&passkey=YOUR-PASSKEY

it didnt work for hdbits, but it works for bitmetv.. strange
    but thanks XD
